Chapman College Family Portraits
I was so blessed this Thanksgiving weekend because I was asked to take the portraits of this beautiful family. I am still learning and I always jump at the chance to take portraits of people, especially as beautiful as they are!

Saw your pics on the Peas board, but I'm a lurker there. These are gorgeous! I have a question for you: How do you get the entire body of all 3 people so sharp, and yet the background blurry? Which lens are you using? I have begun shooting with 50mm 1.8 but am not able to get such sharp subjects. Awesome job!
Thank you! That is a great lens and you will have so much fun with it. For these portraits I used my 85mm 1.8. So to get this look you set your fstop at around 4.0 (adjust your ISO so your exposure is good)then you set your focal point in the center of what you want to be in focus(I use a Canon and hopefully you do to). Make sure that your subject is not standing close to anything behind them, that way you get the background blurry. Oh and I was shooting aperature priority setting. I find my exposure comes out nearly perfect this way. You can always Pea mail me to if you have any other questions :)
