Have you ever met someone and just thought to yourself this chick is hilarious? Well that's what I thought when I first met Jaime. We met during one of Mr. Levi's many photoshoots and by the end of the session I realized that I had known who she was the whole time but never met her in person. On the day that Zach was born I went to the hospital to visit and Jaime did NOT look like she had just given birth to a 9lb 2oz, 21.5 inch baby boy. I mean she just glowed LOVE! For our scheduled newborn session Jaime came prepared with her laptop to show me what poses she wanted. I loved it! It made the session so easy that way. Zach was the perfect model the entire session. He never cried and just needed a few snacks during our 5 hour session. Time flew by so fast and we had the best time!

No fuss oven glass cleaner

So if you know me you know that I love looking at Pinterest. It seems like everyday I get inspired to try something new from that site. Today I saw a no fuss way to clean the glass of my oven and I decided to try it! I admit that I hate cleaning the oven and all I've ever done is wipe it down or put it on auto-clean. As you can see my oven was DISGUSTING!!! So I opened up my pantry and pulled out some baking soda. That's right all you need is baking soda and water! Here you can see the results!

Newborns are such a joy to photograph. With 3 kids of my own it just amazes me how tiny they are when they are born. I think I put so much energy into these shoots because I know just how fast they grow up and they will only be this little for such a short time. This little guy made me work for these shots. At only 6 days new, he literally was awake for almost 5 hours straight, but in the end we won and got some amazing shots!

I had the amazing opportunity to 2nd shoot a wedding with Carolina from LifeKisses Photography. We had so much fun together, it made the 12 hour day go by so fast! Here are a few of my favorites.

Nutella Jar Upcycle

So I was trying to find a cute crayon box for my 2 year old sons crayons that was cute and just could not find one. So the other day when we finished our jar of Nutella I got a bright idea to clean it out and use it for Brady's crayons. The size and shape was perfect for his little hands but he was confused as to why his crayons were in the Nutella jar! So I decided to take out some scrapbooking supplies and my favorite Modge Podge and get to work.

1. I got all of my materials ready to go. I had already cleaned and dried the jar out thoroughly the night before so I was ready to go. I found this cute chalkboard paper in my stash and the letter stickers are self-adhesive so super easy to peel and stick on.

2. The size of Nutella jar I used was the small size which fits these Crayola Washable Crayons perfectly! Also I used just the regular Modge Podge but if this jar were for a girl I'm sure the glittery kind would look amazing!

3. After I cut my paper and stuck on the letters {which might be a tad big} I then Modge Podged it to the jar. I had tried to remove the Nutella label but that baby was stuck on good, so I decided to just stick my label over it. I did put a decent amount of Modge Podge on before and after the label was stuck on. Here you have to take your time to make sure it's sticking well and the paper is not bubbling up.

4. While I waited for the Modge Podge to dry out I found some black spray paint and went outside and sprayed the top. This would also be cute with chalk board paint.

5. Once the jar dried I was worried that the paint would rub off on Brady's hands when he opened and closed it so I decided to cover the top with Modge Podge too!

7. Once everything dried I added some ribbon to spice it up, and here's the final product!

Super Hero Photo Session {Long Beach, CA Child Photographer}

Had the cutest super hero session this week with Mr. Ethan. I can't believe it's already been a year since we did his last session. This little guy has the best personality and really takes his super hero title seriously. He made sure his mom and I were not scared during our 2 mile hike by telling us he was a super hero and not to be afraid. He was just to cute!!!!

I can't believe my baby girl will be starting kindergarten this September and boy is she ready! She has been getting her backpack ready all year. She even practices wearing it around the house so that when she goes to school she will know how to wear it properly, LOL! Can't wait to see all the neat things she will be learning in school. A full year of firsts are in store for us, and we are super excited!

So yesterday I received an email from a client that had to cancel their session for today and I was so bummed because I love photographing newborns. As the day went by I received an inquiry about a newborn shoot for an almost 3 week old baby boy! Woo hoo I was so excited to get to still photograph a newborn. Once mom and I started talking we ended up figuring out that we grew up in the same city, went to the same high school and had tons of mutual friends. So needless to say we had much to talk about during the session, and that was a good thing because Mr/ H wanted nothing to do with sleep. After about 2.5 hours he finally fell asleep. Woo hoo! I told him I would win the battle and I was right. Check out these cute images of 19 day old Mr. H.

I love doing {Belly} sessions and capturing this time in a woman’s life that is so precious. Words cannot describe how incredible it feels to have your baby safely inside you, which is why I am always so excited to do a belly session! I love all the excitement in the air, the anticipation of the arrival, and the amazing glow of the mama-to-be. We had a lot of fun doing this session and as you can see it shows! Brianna’s smile can light up a room. I can’t wait to meet little Nico and cuddle with him.

Last month I was given the most incredible opportunity to 2nd shoot with the fabulous Shannon Lott! I secretly did the happy dance when I received the email because I have been waiting for a long time for the opportunity to arise. Well this was the wedding of the year. Both the bride and groom where outrageously gorgeous and super nice! The wedding party was fun and the venue was breathtaking. I have to admit that I wasn’t prepared for the long day that was ahead of me. After 9 hours of shooting I ended up with over 1500 images. As a 2nd shooter all I have to do is hand over my CF cards to Shannon and she has to do all the hard work of final editing. I did edit a few to add to my portfolio and to share with you all. So life has been really hectic around our house lately. My husband was in a motorcycle accident and life as I knew it came to shrieking halt. It’s been 3 weeks and slowly I’ve been able to get back to doing what I love, photography. This last week Carolina at LifeKisses Photography asked me to assist her for a twins newborn session and I jumped at the opportunity. I have been waiting to photograph twins for as long as I can remember. I knew it was going to be a challenge but these little guys were troopers. Here they are at 13 days new and they came into this world at 37 weeks gestation. Mom looked so amazing, like she wasn’t even pregnant 13 days ago and with twins! Just simply amazing and I have to admit I was slightly jealous!

What can I say about this session other than they are a gorgeous family, we had gorgeous light, and we were at a fun location. When we began planning this session I was so excited because I had this particular spot in mind and since the Hagerman’s take family portraits every 3 months, we need to get creative with our locations. Now we need to start planning our Fall location which will be our 1 year anniversary of portraits together!

Our last full day in the mountains we decided not to fish and to take the kids out for some sightseeing. We stood in an earthquake fault, went shopping in Mammoth and then came back to the cabin for some arts & crafts thanks to Tammie.

The kids are having so much fun as are we. This is the most beautiful cabin we have ever stayed at. Everyone is so nice around here and the town is the cutest town I’ve seen. They even have about 4 or 5 coffee houses! LOVE IT!
